The BBC coverage and the email from Pastor Bob provide solid, reliable insight into the status of the situation in Nairobi. Once again we see the church, the body of Christ, taking a strong role in bringing reconciliation and healing to political, societal, and racial strife.
I am compelled to restate the mission of our ministry: Healing Waters International works to reduce water-related illness and death in developing countries by building self-sustaining projects that make safe drinking water accessible to the poor and empower local churches to bring physical, social and spiritual healing to their communities.
This upheaval only causes us to seek God's leading more fervently regarding what role, if any, we should have here in the future. As our friends and partners in this ministry, we urge you to join us in fervent prayer in this matter.
